Miriam Danar NYC Street Photos Published In Top Magazine

NYC photographer Miriam Danar was invited to publish her street photography in Edge of Humanity Magazine, an online publication featuring "Raw Worldwide Street, Travel Photography, Foreign Affairs, Global Economy, International Cuisine, Poetry, Art, Human Condition and Philosophical Ramblings." Her "B&W Street Photography Essay – New York City, USA" appeared in the September 8, 2015 issue, featuring 11 photos taken on the streets of New York.

The magazine's people-focused orientation is reminiscent of the great publications of the mid-Twentieth Century, Life and Look Magazine, and evocative of the seminal Steichen-curated exhibition "The Family of Man," held at the Museum of Modern Art in 1955. Miriam owns several copies of the exhibition book, and believes that classic pictures of the human condition are ageless and timeless.

David D. Busch, the world's #1 best-selling author of digital photography camera guides, states on the photographer's professional...

NYC Photographer Miriam Danar Makes NY1 Picture Of The Day For Eighth Time

Miriam Danar's photography has now been chosen eight times over the last year as "Picture of the Day" for New York City's own dedicated television news station, "NY1."

After submitting images for over a year, her "Brooklyn Diner" was finally picked in mid-August 2013, with seven more following in the ensuing months, including two published during last year's and this year's opening of the United Nations General Assembly. Her latest newspic, View of the UN and Tudor City, ran on television and online for two days as NY1's Picture of the Day. She found out from a friend's text that her submission from the night before had been published and shown on television early on Sept. 23 and continued through Sept. 24.

The artist is grateful to the television station for choosing her work out of many entries, and looks forward to continuing contributions. "New York is an infinite source of inspiration offering images that are newsworthy and informative to viewers; one reason...

Photographer Miriam Danar Hosts Marathon Of Flowers For Mothers Day

In honor of Mother's Day, NYC-based photographer Miriam Danar will host a day-long "Marathon of Flowers," where, for one day, she will post as many photos as she can of beautiful blooms and fabulous florals on her site at Fine Art America (FAA). This is a departure from her black and white street art a la the famed Magnum photographers of "Life Magazine," and "cut-glass," colorful cityscapes of New York, reminiscent of stained glass.

The artist dedicates all sales to the care of her mother, an amazing woman living an inspirational life. Although the marathon posting will go on all day, the images will remain in her gallery, "Mother's Day & Year-Round Gift Ideas - with Marathon of Flowers," and are available for purchase beyond today's holiday. They can be purchased as gifts in the form of posters, framed prints, greeting cards, or other formats.
